We are dedicated to our community and offer our craftsmen and artists on the island a venue to showcase their art and share their skills with friends and visitors. Our well rounded approach to community is a benefit to all who participate and maintains our mission of sustainable growth.

Pat has her Wacky Shack ready to open at the entrance to the Community Farm and Artisan Village.

Hope and Miles Shafer honestly believe they didn’t find Daufuskie; the island found them. But since they moved here every other resident has told them the exact same thing. So maybe they’re not so special after all. They are head over trash bags in love with their property in the historic district: an authentic Gullah cottage that they offer as a vacation rental and a workshop/loft that they are living in and renovating across the road. Miles was a master gardener in their last home in Northern California; Hope just loves growing and canning weird stuff.
